The term "Internet of Things" refers to devices that aren't typically expected to have an internet connection but will communicate with the network without the need for human intervention. An intelligent camera using the Internet of Things can monitor dangerous environments or detect when a machine's light indicates abnormal conditions.

The Internet of Things (IoT) depicts how objects are linked to create a smart environment.
The most appealing aspect of IoT is that it has good sensors that will constantly monitor changing environmental conditions and alert us to impending disasters. The goal of automation is frequently efficiency, but it's easier said than done if you're acting on instinct or assumptions.
